Nick Desai is a UCLA alum and an accomplished entrepreneur who has started and led four successful start-ups over the last 20 years, including Heal – a company he co-founded to re-boot the U.S. healthcare system leveraging the transformative power of technology-enabled doctor house calls. He started his current company, HeyRenee, with his wife and co-founder Dr. Renee Dua, a UC San Diego and USC alum who also completed a residency in internal medicine at UCLA.
Nick raised over $165 million in venture funding for Heal, from Humana, Generator Ventures, Inflection Capital and more. He recently raised an additional $8 million for his most recent startup, HeyRenee, from Quiet Capital, Fika Ventures, Mucker Capital, SaaS Ventures, and Tau Ventures.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Irvine, where he was awarded the 2018 Lauds and Laurels Distinguished Alumni Award, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
