UCLA Biodesign Fellowship
The UCLA Biodesign Fellowship is an exciting year-long entrepreneurial opportunity at a world-class health organization. UCLA Biodesign utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to assemble a team of fellows that tackle some of today’s most challenging clinical needs. Development opportunities are aimed at transformative technologies – from advanced devices to sophisticated digital therapeutics.
UCLA Biodesign invites engineering, medicine, nursing, design, and computer science professionals to join us in our mission to transform healthcare. UCLA Biodesign maintains a strong commitment to diversity and equity in healthcare innovation. Fellows have the opportunity to leverage clinical and data resources at UCLA Health through clinical immersion across specialties.
Fellows receive curated instruction during an intensive bootcamp and mentorship throughout the program from industry professionals with domain expertise across the healthcare ecosystem.
A dedicated UCLA Biodesign Fellowship track is available to current UCLA Health residents and fellows, and a Biodesign Business Creation Option Capstone is offered to executive and fully-employed MBAs at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
UCLA Biodesign Fellows follow a three-stage development process that forms the cornerstone of their entrepreneurial journey. Over the course of the year-long fellowship, trainees learn the fundamentals of product development – from the identification of clinical opportunities to the initiation of a new venture.
