Luke Allera
Luke Allera is a healthcare executive with a multi-faceted skill set gained from experience through many different aspects of the U.S. healthcare system. Luke has extensive experience working within the health insurance sector, negotiating with payors to secure national contracts and favorable fee schedules, as well as working closely with CMS on the interpretation of guidelines to ensure proper reimbursement and payment for services rendered. He began his career in healthcare as the third employee at Protech Home Medical Corp (TSXV: PHM), a home diagnostic testing services company for chronic disease that seeks to improve the patient experience and streamline medication monitoring for clinicians through the use of technology. At PHM, Luke served at the Vice President of Cardio Services, where he was responsible for business unit operations, contract management, and patient services. Luke has developed significant hands-on clinical experience through managing a team of nurses for PHM’s subsidiary dosing clinic. During PHM’s M&A roll-up phase, he also helped identify strategic acquisition targets, develop integration plans for streamlined operations, and launch new service lines for the company’s patient population with comorbidities. Luke received his BS in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently a Fully-Employed MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
