Henry Hoang is a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. With over 12 years of surgical experience in General, Trauma, Vascular, and Cardiac surgery, Henry is focusing his efforts on surgical device development to improve patient safety, long-term outcomes, surgical ergonomics, and efficiency of surgical methods. Complex problem solving, mechanics, and engineering have been at the forefront of his passions. Prior to Biodesign, Henry was a Search and Rescue volunteer where he developed insights into rope and mechanical leverage systems, effective deployment of resources, and maximizing utility with minimal resources. Henry received a Masters in Nursing at University of Massachusetts where he was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at UCLA.
