Leyla Mirmomen is a Program Manager at UCLA Biodesign, where she leads the program’s LA Response-to-Covid Accelerator as well supports the entire program’s operations. Leyla has over ten years of experience with technology projects including scope definition, design, development, manufacturing, risk management, and resource planning. Over the course of her career, she has fulfilled a wide range of duties within engineering, product development, international operations, quality management systems. She started her company and led it into a well-known engineering, procurement, and commissioning (EPC) firm to help the pharma and energy industries in the development of new and innovative products. She moved to the United States just before the start of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and provided consulting services to MedTech and Biotech startups through their growth journey. Towards combatting Covid-19, she cooperated with numerous exceptional inventors, helping them bring their idea to life, and was able to help them with raising funds while properly structuring their early-stage companies. Leyla Mirmomen has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.
