Nirav Kamdar, MD, MPH
Nirav Kamdar is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at UCLA Health. Nirav serves as the Director of Quality for the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine where he teaches and trains medical students and anesthesiology residents, as well as oversees the Perioperative Specialty Fellowship. A recognized leader in clinical education, Nirav has earned awards for Excellence in Resident Teaching for four consecutive years. He is a clinical advisor to Enspero Medical, an early-stage medical device company currently undergoing FDA 510(k) trials to demonstrate the utility of a novel multi-port induction device for the delivery of anesthesia and other drugs that reduces port contamination. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Nirav obtained his MD from Stanford University and completed his residency training at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Nirav also holds a master’s in public policy from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Business.
