Veronica Pellegrino is a Chicago native currently employed as a Clinical Nurse II at UCLA Health Santa Monica, where she provides specialized care on a Post Surgical orthopedic unit. She graduated as a University Scholar from Case Western Reserve University in 2020 and completed UCLA’s first COVID-19 Relief RN Graduate Residency Program. While beginning her career at a turning point in health care, she also worked alongside a health-tech startup providing Rapid Antigen and PCR testing to communities in need in the Los Angeles area. She is currently developing a piece of medical technology to streamline the pill-opening process at the bedside with the help of UCLA’s Biodesign Team.
