Julio La Torre is an MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he is specializing in entrepreneurship. He is also a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine. He currently holds medical licenses in five states and has spent nearly two years working as a hospitalist throughout the country assisting understaffed hospitals in clinician duty and operations management throughout the COVID pandemic. Given his role as a traveling physician in various critical access settings, he has specific interests in internal medicine, patient health disparities and hospital operations. His work gives him insight into not only into various pathologies but the needs of different stakeholders and how the dynamics between them can change based on geography. Julio completed his internal medicine residency at New York Medical College in New York City and received his MD at St. George’s University.
