Renea Sturm, MD
Renea Sturm is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at UCLA. Her clinical practice is focused on the care of children with congenital anomalies and disorders of the kidneys, bladder and genitalia. As a surgeon, Renea has an interest in pediatric minimally invasive robotic-assisted and endoscopic surgery. Her current research focus areas include urethral tissue engineering and surgical device development, in conjunction with partners in materials science, chemical and bio-engineering. A graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, Renea completed her residency in urology at UC Davis and a fellowship in pediatric urology at Northwestern / Lurie Children’s Hospital. Renea is also a former UCLA Biodesign Discovery Fellow. A classically trained violinist, Renea received a BA in music from the Shepherd School at Rice University.
