Dr. SooHoo is Professor-in-Residence and the Residency Program Director in the UCLA Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been involved in academic research throughout his career with over 90 peer-reviewed publications and received awards from several specialty societies. His research interests include the use of data science to improve our understanding of orthopaedic surgical outcomes. Recently, Dr. SooHoo has received an award from the UCLA Innovation Fund to develop a surgical assist arm and is currently working with Dr. Tyler Clites to revolutionize our approach to treating arthritic joints.
