2019 – 2020 DISCOVERY FELLOW

Neil Parikh, MD, MBA

Neil Parikh is a physician, healthcare consultant, and clinical researcher whose expertise lies in improving the operations and performance of large health systems. Neil is currently a resident physician in the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology, where his passion for oncology, policy, and economics have spurned numerous efforts involving time-driven activity-based costing, cost effectiveness analyses, and clinical impact of novel technologies.  At UCLA, Neil has also served as a resident informaticist, designing EMR features to streamline workflow in his department.  Prior to joining UCLA, Neil worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where he advised a wide array of clients in the payor, provider, and life science spaces on topics spanning strategy, operations, and organizational design.  Neil completed his medical internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and his MD from Baylor College of Medicine, where he served on the Texas Medical Association Board of Trustees. Neil received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and BA in economics from Rice University.
