Join Lisa Wipperman Heine for a conversation about her career journey and lessons learned across a cadre of roles at venture-backed startups to large, multinational companies to leading her first startup as CEO through to acquisition in less than four years.
Lisa Wipperman Heine has served in the Medtech industry for over 30 years holding leadership roles in both large Medtech companies as well as venture-backed start-ups. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for 3 public medtech/biotech companies as well as 1 early-stage private company. Recently, Lisa was also President and Chief Executive Officer at preCARDIA, Inc., an early stage, heart failure focused medtech company which was acquired by Abiomed, Inc. in 2021. Ms. Heine also previously served in multiple leadership roles at ev3 and Covidien, Inc., including Global Vice President of Medical Affairs for Vascular Therapies. During her tenure at Covidien, she helped drive the strategy in support of a $1.7B business and was also responsible for leading the strategy and operations of Clinical Affairs, Healthcare Economics, Policy and Reimbursement, and Medical Education functions. Lisa was named to Women, Inc.’s “Most Influential Corporate Board Directors” in 2019 as well as Twin City Business’s “TCB 100 People to Know in 2020” and Becker’s Hospital Review “110 Women in Medtech to Know”. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Olaf College and a Master of Science degree from the University of Manitoba.
