2020 – 2021 DISCOVERY FELLOW

Jason Singer, MD

Dr. Jason Singer is an emergency medicine physician at UCLA Health. He has specific interests in emergency medicine, critical care, and telemedicine. He aims to develop clinician-driven solutions that allow physicians to practice more efficiently, reduce provider burnout, and enhance their ability to connect patients to timely, comprehensive care. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Singer served as a community health volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Madagascar working with local leaders and NGOs to improve health practices related to malaria prevention, clean water and sanitation, family planning, and acute respiratory infections. He also previously worked at St. Jude Medical collaborating with clinicians and engineers to reduce pacemaker and ICD implant failures. Dr. Singer earned his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he received the Excellence in Medicine Leadership Award from the American Medical Association Foundation. He graduated with a BS in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
