Leena Nathan, MD
Leena Nathan is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA Health. Leena also serves as the medical director for the UCLA Community OBGYN practices, including locations in Westlake Village, Burbank, Porter Ranch, Torrance and Pasadena. Her current passion is to improve the quality of life for patients by improving drug delivery methods, and Leena’s research is focused on device development for administration of vaginal medications, for which she received a 2020 UCLA Innovation Fund award. Leena completed a family medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente, where she won the graduating resident research award for her publication on vulvar disorders. Following Kaiser, she completed a second internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCLA Health, where she again won the resident research award for her work in cervical cancer research. Leena holds an MD from the Stanford University School of Medicine and a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego.
